Tide White

Tide White is an ambient data artwork that displays an animation of the sea tide at Brighton or Newquay beach.

This edition of the Tide series is hand made in our studio in Brighton UK with a white-blue high gloss display. Tide White gently animates, showing the position of the tide and its direction of travel - coming in or going out. It connects to a live data feed via WiFi and the data is displayed on 64 led 'dots' mounted behind layers of acrylic and glass. It has a pine frame hand finished in (virtually matt) dark grey and the back casing is 3D printed from biodegradable material.

Tide White comes fitted with a 3m power cable that plugs into USB (usb plug not supplied) and within 3 minutes can be setup to connect to your WiFi with a smart-phone, tablet or laptop.
